Nick Dole: Nick is a former uni dropout biomedical scientist. He also has a speech impediment that he considers an advantage in social situations. The resident mad scientist, he’s responsible for very little. He is passionate about machines however, and any way he can get them to go faster and work better. Nicks racing career peaked in 1994 with a 3rd place in the NSW Pony Express series. Realising his true racing talents he retired to Ballard’s workshop, helping other to achieve what he can’t. The buck stops with him. (or Sarah if she tells him it does)

Sarah Beer: By giving Sarah the roles of accounts payable, receivable, advertising director, office manager, HR, receptionist, freight inward and outgoing, packing and “person most likely to tell Nick how it is when he slacks off” we have changed her into a dictator. Amazingly she still sounds professional and helpful on the phone…..Just try having an overdue account! She actually keep all of us in line. Sarah has raced BMX for 5 years reaching no 4 in the ACT and No 8 in NSW. Sarah has also ridden MX bikes since she was 4. She is also alergic to being photographed.

Ben Jansen: Ben runs the workshop when Nick isn't. He loves to boss about anyone who's smaller (except Sarah who bosses everyone about, though Ben still tries). He's been around longer than everyone, so he gets asked the most questions about anything, which drives him nuts... and makes us laugh. Ben’s technical prowess on the tools is world class, which is good, as his motorcycle riding skills are 3rd world. Perhaps it’s time for a new bike Ben?

Paul Leybourne: Paul is deceptive. He seems all meek and mild but has a will of iron. Paul does a lot of the fork and shock servicing as well as minor and major servicing of complete bikes. Paul can regularly be seen on weekends racing his KX250F around local MX and enduro events. Don’t get his way, he’ll run you over.

Beau Haverhoek: Beau is the new guy, so he gets all the "special" jobs. Which he seems to be ok with. He thinks he is fantastic at everything, but is only correct some of the time, something that the rest of us love to point out.

Damien Taylor: See this nice website? Say thanks Damien. Hate the website and think it stinks, send Damien a dirty e-mail, he’s so laid back he’ll laugh it off. He's over in America at the moment, so he's even quieter in the office than normal. Got a genuine web related problem? Ask him. He’s a nice guy. Want too see something on the site that you know we do but can’t find it? Got a cure for insomnia that you want to test out? Drop him a line, he needs it.

Andrew Martin: Andrew is our CAD drawing guy. Now that we are designing a lot more parts in house, like our Yamaha WR fork kit, Marzocchi fork pistons and plenty of tools Andrew has taken up the reign. Truth is he's moonlighting for us from his real gig as a student mechatronics engineer. Like all of us, he rides, having just traded up to a 95 GSXR750. | |
